About Melissma Music

Melissma Music is the creation of Mel Steiger, a music teacher and all-around nerd. She creates all of the site's graphics, materials and web content using a few fancy-schmancy programs and a lot of YouTube tutorials.

Mel has a bachelor's in Music Ed & a Master's in Music Ed from Buffalo State University and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University. She currently works with Pk-5 students in her music classroom and runs community ukulele lessons through the Lowell Learns initiative in Lowell, Massachusetts. She also teachers toddler music classes at various locations. You can check out her local classes here.

When she's not singing, strumming or doodling, she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends.
